A prayer for women carrying too much.

Some women carry too much for so long that “too much” starts feeling normal.

They carry the planning.
The emotional weight.
The remembering.
The tension.
The relationships.
The needs.
The disappointments.
The invisible labor.
The spiritual pressure of trying to stay strong for everyone.

And after a while, even prayer can feel hard because there is so much inside, they do not know where to begin.

So let this be simple.

If you are carrying too much, start here.

Scripture for this moment

“So I say to you: Ask and keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Seek and keep on seeking and you will find. Knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.” Luke 11:9 (TPT)

God is not intimidated by your need.

He is not frustrated by your tears.
He is not asking you to come polished.

He is inviting you to come.

A prayer to pray out loud

Father,
I have been carrying too much.

Some of it is mine.
Some of it is not.
Some of it I picked up because I care.
Some of it I picked up because I did not know how to put it down.

But I do not want to keep living overloaded, tense, and stretched thin.

Meet me here.

Show me what I am not meant to carry.
Show me what needs truth.
Show me what needs rest.
Show me what needs a boundary.
Show me what needs to be handed back to You.

Quiet what has been loud in me.
Strengthen what has been weak in me.
Restore what has been worn down in me.

Teach me how to return to steady.
Teach me how to stay soft without collapsing.
Teach me how to become a woman who carries peace instead of constant pressure.

I receive Your help.
I receive Your wisdom.
I receive Your peace.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

One small practice after this prayer

Put your hand on your chest and ask:

What is one burden I need to stop rehearsing and start releasing?

Write it down.

Then give that burden a next step:
pray,
pause,
ask for help,
delay the decision,
or set a boundary.

Let me encourage you

A woman does not become stronger by carrying everything.

She becomes stronger by learning what is hers to carry and what is not.

That kind of wisdom changes everything.
